In-house "Velocity Locate" desk built directly into DAS Trader Pro and Sterling — deep HTB inventory incl. small caps, overnight borrows, customized lending. So like CenterPoint it gives the real DAS locate stack, not the IBKR pool. Frictions: $30k min; margin/options accounts only (no cash accounts); deposits by wire only; DAS desktop is Windows-only. Caveat to verify: Guardian takes Canadians as international clients under its US broker-dealer (not a separate CIRO entity like CenterPoint) — confirm current Canada eligibility + tax/reporting implications before funding. Worth it mainly as a second locate source alongside CenterPoint.
