Mt. Gamti + Lake Bovilla guided hike

Thu May 28 — half-day guided hike at Lake Bovilla + Mount Gamti.

Why morning of Day 2: arrives Wed 12:55 (too late to start same-day, tour pickups are 8-9am). Thu morning = leave bag at hotel reception post-checkout 12:00, do tour, back by 14:30-15:00, grab bag, head to airport.

The hike:

• 1,268m / 4,160ft peak
• ~1.5h drive from Tirana (last 30 min unpaved, bumpy)
• Short hike: 15-45 min to "Balcony of Bovilla" viewpoint over the turquoise reservoir, or longer/steeper to actual peak
• Stone path → rocks → iron handrail steps at top
• Wear trainers or light hiking boots; can be slippery when wet
• Views of Bovilla reservoir + Dajti National Park

Tour logistics (guided, ~€35-45):

• Hotel pickup 7:30-8:30am (varies by operator)
• Drive 1.5h with photo stop at small Bovilla canyon
• Hike + free time at viewpoint (~2h total at the mountain)
