Why morning of Day 2: arrives Wed 12:55 (too late to start same-day, tour pickups are 8-9am). Thu morning = leave bag at hotel reception post-checkout 12:00, do tour, back by 14:30-15:00, grab bag, head to airport.
The hike:
- 1,268m / 4,160ft peak
- ~1.5h drive from Tirana (last 30 min unpaved, bumpy)
- Short hike: 15-45 min to "Balcony of Bovilla" viewpoint over the turquoise reservoir, or longer/steeper to actual peak
- Stone path → rocks → iron handrail steps at top
- Wear trainers or light hiking boots; can be slippery when wet
- Views of Bovilla reservoir + Dajti National Park
