About
Cautionary tale, not a product. Wispr originally built EXACTLY this — a wearable converting silently-mouthed words into text/voice (the 'whisper' name you half-remembered). Got it working, hooked it to ChatGPT, then concluded BCI was a '2030 product sold in 2024' and killed the hardware in July 2024 (40→5 staff overnight). Pivoted to Wispr Flow voice dictation. Direct evidence of why silent-speech hardware is hard right now.
